Trevor Lawrence now the overwhelming Heisman favorite for 2020 season

Trevor Lawrence now the overwhelming Heisman favorite for 2020 season

Clemson QB Trevor Lawrence enters the 2020 College Football season as now an overwhelming favorite to win the Heisman Trophy.

Lawrence, who is returning for his junior season and is expected to declare for the 2021 NFL Draft following this year, is now listed as a 2-1 favorite to win the Heisman Trophy with the latest news that the Big Ten and Pac-12 won’t be playing football this fall.

Previously, Ohio State’s Justin Fields was listed as the favorite to win the award with Trevor Lawrence trailing behind as a close second.

Trevor Lawrence should be the favorite and has a prime opportunity to do something no Clemson football player has ever done

The things that Trevor Lawrence did this offseason shows just how dedicated he is to Clemson and playing this 2020 season and they certainly won’t hurt his pursuit of winning the Heisman Trophy.

Lawrence now enters this season as the most recognizable face in College Football. In an award that is won based off of popularity, that is half the battle.

Lawrence has been the spokesperson for College Football and one of the loudest voices during this offseason. When you combine his works off the field with his ability on the field, it’s easy to see why he would be such a heavy favorite for the award this season.

If Trevor Lawrence does come home with the hardware when it’s all said and done, he will be the first player in Clemson football history to be given the Heisman Trophy.
