These 5 cardboard cutouts need to be included in Clemson football games

The hope at this point is that we’ll get to see Clemson football fans attend home games, at least in some capacity.

But even if the Tiger faithful are able to crowd in Death Valley, things will look extremely different than anything we’ve seen before. Even at 50 percent capacity– which is the highest capacity limit in discussion around the nation currently- that would mean Clemson Memorial Stadium would have more than 40,000 empty seats.

While no professional sports have brought back fans yet, one of the most intriguing parts of Major League Baseball has been the  prevalence of cardboard cutouts in their stadiums.

If Clemson football fans aren’t allowed to attend games- or if capacity is greatly reduced- here are five cardboard cutouts we’d absolutely want to be in the stands.

5. FSU book reader

We’ll go ahead and start off this list by saying the Florida State fan who was shirtless and reading a book in Doak Campbell a couple of years ago when Clemson was blasting the Seminoles has to be included.

The game was such a blowout, ESPN continued to frame over near him during the game and even had a short segment on him before the match-up was over. Before the end of the day, dozens of fans had joined him in reading.

The FSU book reader’s cardboard cutout will absolutely have to make his trip up from Tallahassee to be in attendance for what we hope will be more blowouts for Clemson football.
