3. Tony Elliott’s play-calling

Perhaps the thing Clemson football fans complain about the most during games- and it’s been this way for years- is the offensive play-calling.

Does this sound/look familiar:

  • RUN. THE. BALL.
  • THE MIDDLE IS OPEN
  • See? When we run the ball, it works.
  • I wish we would open things up a bit and take some shots down the field.

Look, this isn’t a shot at Tony Elliott, but Clemson football fans across the board have had their disagreements and complaints about the play-calling at times.

But we’d gladly put up with the Tigers completely ignoring Travis Etienne, not taking advantage of the middle of the field, or taking enough shots down the field, if it meant we would see football.
