Clemson lives rent-free inside the heads of Ohio State Buckeyes

You have to pay a pretty penny to live on the campus of Ohio State, but Clemson is living absolutely rent-free in the heads of Buckeyes across the nation.

The Clemson-Ohio State rivalry really started to heat up following the Playstation Fiesta Bowl that saw the Tigers come away with a come-from-behind victory. Since that point, Ohio State fans have continued (and are still continuing) to lash out at Clemson on any and every issue.

When the Tigers suffered a decommitment from 4-star CB Jordan Hancock earlier this week with the expectation that he would commit to Ohio State, Buckeyes fans came out in full force with yet another conspiracy theory.

Ohio State fans are so shocked they beat Clemson at something, they’re having to make excuses for it themselves

Look, there are a few things that are certain: Death, taxes and Clemson beating Ohio State.

The Tigers are 4-0 all-time against the Buckeyes and they just beat what many presumed to be the most talented team in Ohio State history this past December in the CFB Playoff. Because of a couple of calls didn’t go in their favor, that loss certainly hasn’t gone over well with the Buckeyes fan base.

Instead of just looking at the decommitment for what it is: A player choosing to go better himself and pick a school he rooted for growing up, Ohio State fans have taken it yet to another extreme as to try and attack Dabo Swinney’s character yet again.

Though Swinney has come out on numerous occasions and was a big leader at Clemson’s Peaceful Rally a few weeks ago, OSU fans continuing to push this narrative as a twisted way of trying to destroy someone and create controversy when there’s nothing there.

Swinney’s players have continuously come to his side throughout the countless questions and attacks against his character since all of this has begun. People resurface video from years ago and take it out of context and act as if the ‘culture at Clemson is toxic.’

And Ohio State fans are the worst of the bunch.

People conveniently forget- or aren’t even educated- to know what Dabo Swinney has done for the community, and particularly for his players- like PAW Journey, Clemson Life, the All In Foundation and many other programs, but instead just continue to push narratives that gain steam on Twitter.

Continue with the ridiculous narratives if you please, but that’s not stopping this simple fact: Clemson is living rent-free in the heads the Ohio State Buckeyes.
