4-star Clemson football target Nyland Green is making major jumps up recruiting boards and it won’t be long until his a consensus 5-star prospect.

Green, one of the top remaining targets for the 2021 Clemson football recruiting cycle, has consistently been moving up recruiting rankings. Back in June of 2019, Green was outside of the top 250 recruits in the nation.

With the most current 247 Sports’ Composite Player Rankings, Green is now slated as the No. 88 overall player in the nation. That’s a significant increase and one that isn’t expected to stop now, either.

Just back in February, Green was ranked as the No. 225 player in the nation. He moved inside the top-100 during the same month and has been consistently climbing ever since. The result? the Clemson football target could be a 5-star before it’s all said and done.

The Clemson football coaches are heavily targeting DBs, and Green is at the top of the list

Green recently told Tigernet that he was not expecting to make a decision anytime soon and is currently working on getting his finalists down to a top-five.

He said that he is consistent contact with the Clemson football coaches and it’s clear that there is major interest between the DB and the Tigers as we progress through the recruiting cycle. He also went on to say that he is planning to enroll in January and that it’s possible he’ll make a decision before the start of his senior season, according to Tigernet’s David Hood.

There’s no doubt that Clemson would love to have Green in the 2021 recruiting class.

The Tigers have pretty much finished up the vast majority of positions, but still have a couple of spots open for defensive backs. Green is near the top of the list, along with 5-star CB Ga’Quincy McKinstry, 4-star S Andrew Mukuba, 4-star S Corey Collier and 5-star CB Jason Marshall.
