Clemson Football: 35 Greatest Tigers of the Dabo Swinney Era
11. DeAndre McDaniel
DeAndre McDaniel may not have been able to win a National Championship or a conference title during his playing days, but he still made a major impact on the Clemson football program- and still is doing just that today.
McDaniel, in my opinion, was the best safety to ever play in the Dabo Swinney era and one of the best all-time.
In his career, McDaniel totaled 275 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss and 15 interceptions.
He was named an All-American in both 2009 and 2010- both years that Swinney was the Head Coach- and left the Tiger program as one of the most-decorated defensive backs in the school’s history.
