Clemson Football: 35 Greatest Tigers of the Dabo Swinney Era
18. Wayne Gallman
Wayne Gallman doesn’t get near enough credit for being the ‘every down back’ who could get hard yardage when the Tigers needed it most.
With Gallman, it’s tough to see Clemson winning the National Championship in 2016 because even though his stats weren’t all that great, he got some hard yardage that kept Alabama’s defense on the field and eventually wore them down.
Gallman was able to do things of that nature throughout his tenure with the Tigers.
He finished up his career with 675 carries for 3,416 yards (5.1 YPC) and 34 touchdowns.
