Clemson Football: 35 Greatest Tigers of the Dabo Swinney Era
24. Trayvon Mullen
Trayvon Mullen only played three seasons with the Tigers, but he accomplished quite a bit during that span.
Mullen totaled 94 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, four interceptions and 12 pass breakups during his career and was named a second-team All-American in 2018.
Mullen’s final game saw him earn Defensive MVP Honors in the Tigers’ 44-16 win over the Alabama Crimson Tide in the National Championship.
Mullen was a lockdown cornerback who could be relied upon to get the job done on an island. His special coverage ability is something that many may forget, but there’s no question he made a major impact on the outside for that defense.
