The Clemson football program announced that the summer enrollees are now on campus and one of the top names Tiger fans are looking forward to watching is RB Demarkcus Bowman.
Bowman, a former 5-star, has been compared to former Clemson football great C.J. Spiller and there’s much excitement that he’ll be able to come in and make a major impact.
One thing is for sure: The talented freshman won’t be hard to spot in his Clemson football uniform.
The Tigers announced the numbers for the summer enrollees and Bowman will be wearing jersey No. 1.

It’s not going to be difficult to spot Bowman with him wearing that No. 1 jersey. The last prominent Tiger running back to wear that number was James Davis and there’s no doubt he went on to have a storied career.
As he lines up in the backfield, there’s certainly going to be a growing excitement among Clemson football fans to see what the talented running back can accomplish- especially with that special jersey number.
For those that have seen his film, it’s easy to see why.
Bowman is an explosive runner with elite-level top-end speed. The comparisons to Spiller are certainly warranted and it’s going to be interesting to see what he’s able to do- even as a freshman. The fact that we’re going to see Bowman in the same running back room with Travis Etienne and Lyn-J Dixon is something that many seem to be forgetting as we prepare for the 2020 season.
