There are big expectations for former Clemson football WR Tee Higgins

Though Tee Higgins had to wait a little longer than he would’ve liked to hear his named called during the 2020 NFL Draft, it’s clear that the former Clemson football WR has an opportunity to make a major impact right away at the next level.

Higgins, who was taken with the first-pick in the second-round of the 2020 NFL Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals, will be joining fellow rookie QB Joe Burrow (LSU) as the franchise looks to turn things around and get back to the postseason following a successful offseason.

Though it’s unclear what things will look like with the Bengals this season and beyond, one thing is for sure: There are big expectations for the former Clemson football WR.

Pro Football Focus shared its grades for the rookie wide receivers in the 2020 NFL Draft and Higgins was rated No. 2 overall. Here’s a look at the top group, according to the publication.

Clemson football fans know Higgins is going to succeed

Higgins was ranked second with a 90.5 grade just behind Minnesota’s Tyler Johnson. Johnson was a talented play-maker who went in the fifth round to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Behind Higgins was Oregon State’s Isaiah Hodgins (90.1 grade) and Oklahoma’s CeeDee Lamb (90.0).

There’s no doubt when looking about what Higgins was able to accomplish during his Clemson football career that he can major success at the next level.

Higgins was overlooked by many NFL franchises because of his 40-time, but the thing they don’t realize is his ability to high-point the football and out-physical defensive backs makes him a valuable commodity.

Higgins is going to win 50/50 balls more than 80 percent of the time and he makes the quarterback look better as a result. Don’t be surprised to see the former Tiger wide receiver make some big-time plays with Burrow at quarterback this coming season as a rookie.
