Amari Rodgers is focused on having a big final season with Clemson football

The Clemson football team suffered a big loss when it was announced that wide receiver Justyn Ross would be out for the season following spine surgery.

With Ross out, many national analysts questioned what the Tigers will look like offensively and what wide receiver will step up in his place.

There has been one Clemson football wide receiver who has already shown an elite level of focus and that’s only going to increase during the 2020 season. That wide receiver is Amari Rodgers.

Rodgers warned fans and analysts earlier this spring that he is ready to perform on a whole different level. That was only amplified following Ross’s injury.

Following the news, Rodgers took to Twitter to say that he was going to give everything he had this season for Ross.

Rodgers doesn’t receive the love from national analysts because of his body type. He’s not a big 6-foot-4, 215 pound wide receiver who bullies defensive backs with his size.

Though he fits the bill of a slot receiver in terms of his height and size, there’s no doubt that Rodgers is much more than just an underneath option and a sure-hand.

Rodgers can run crisp routes. He is a play-maker that can bust off a big run any time he touches the ball. Though he may not be 6-foot-4, Rodgers is also exceptionally strong and can be a physical force when called upon.

All of those attributes are things we are going to see much more of during the 2020 season. Rodgers is going to be a featured part of the offense and there’s no doubt that he’ll be able to step in and become a big threat to opposing defenses this year with the Tigers.
