4. 2011 ACC Championship victory

To get to the next game on our list, you only have to rewind the clocks a little less than a month.

Winning an ACC Championship is the new normal with Clemson football now, as the Tigers have won five-straight at the time of this writing, but the conference title picture was a much different story back in 2011.

Heading into the 2011 season, the Tigers hadn’t won a conference title in more than 20 years. Clemson fans were starving to come away with an ACC Championship and it didn’t seem all that likely when they traveled to Charlotte to take on the No. 5-ranked Virginia Tech Hokies.

There 73,675 in attendance to see the Tigers come away with an impressive 38-10 win over the Hokies- who were still in hopes of back-dooring their way into the BCS National Championship game- and locking up their first conference title in more than two decades.
