4. Xavier Thomas
Xavier Thomas may not have had the sophomore season that many Clemson football fans expected, but there’s no doubting his upside heading into his junior year.
Thomas was asked to do some different things as the Tigers transitioned to a 3-3-5 defense last year and also spent a little bit of time injured and in the dog house.
It’s the expectation, though, that Clemson will be moving back to a 4-3 formation and that will give him an opportunity to shine and play the role of edge-rusher.
Many NFL analysts have Thomas as a top-10 prospect in next year’s draft and he has an opportunity to prove to be just that this season.
