When 5-star RB Will Shipley announced his commitment to the Clemson football program, many fans took to social media to attempt to discredit the prospect.
The Clemson football program continues to get better and better. And the tears of opposing fanbases continue to grow more and more.
5-star RB Will Shipley announced his commitment to Clemson football earlier this week, choosing the Tigers over Notre Dame. N.C. State was also in the mix earlier on in his recruitment.
Despite the fact that Shipley is considered a consensus 5-star, many opposing fans took to Twitter following the commitment to attempt to discredit the running back.

Thoughts:
Look, anyone that watches film and knows anything about analysis knows how special this guy has a chance of becoming.
There’s a reason he is rated as a 5-star. There’s also a reason he has offers from many major programs from around the country including but not limited to: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Notre Dame, NC State, North Carolina, Ohio State, Penn State, Virginia Tech, South Carolina and others.
You think all those programs- including elite recruiters like Nick Saban, Dabo Swinney, Kirby Smart and Ryan Day- offered Shipley on a whim? Do you really believe that these elite coaches watched his film and thought he’s overrated? No. That’s utterly ridiculous.
Shipley is explosive and athletic. He shows great speed- a sub 4.5 40-time- and is a guy who can run out of the backfield and also make plays in the passing game.
While opposing fans show their jealousy right now, the truth of the matter is very simple: They’ll regret it later on. While Shipley is running roughshod over opposing defenses and proving to be the next great all-purpose back at the collegiate level, all of these other fans will be forced to remember when their ‘film analysis’ was wrong yet again.
Shipley is a talented running back who projects as high as a first-rounder at the next level. He’s going to prove to be just that with the Clemson football program.
