1. Xavier Thomas

Perhaps no one stands more to lose or gain from the 2020 Clemson football than Xavier Thomas.

There were such high expectations for Thomas coming into Clemson and he just hasn’t been able to completely replicate those to this point.

He had a solid freshman season, but was unable to put up a ton of stats as a sophomore. Part of that had to do with the change in scheme to a 3-3-5 and what he was being asked to do, but it’s still clear that Thomas needs this 2020 season to prove to NFL scouts that he is capable of being an elite edge-rusher at the next level.

Many believe Thomas has top-10, potentially even top-5, potential in terms of the draft.

It all depends on this season, though.

He still has another year of eligibility, but I would imagine that Thomas is ready to show the world what he is capable of becoming and that we see him have a year to remember when the Tigers take the field in 2020.
