Clemson Football: Trevor Lawrence is in a realm of his own
The Clemson football program has seen a historically-great quarterback in Trevor Lawrence. One NFL Analyst says Lawrence is in a realm of his own.
One of the greatest quarterbacks to ever step foot inside the Clemson football program is Trevor Lawrence, and he still has one more year remaining with the Tigers.
Lawrence, who enters the 2020 season as one of the top favorites to win the Heisman Trophy, is considered by most to be the No. 1 overall pick in next year’s 2021 NFL Draft. The Clemson football program has been blessed with talented quarterbacks for quite some time now, but one analyst says that Lawrence may be in a realm of his own.
In an interview with Tigernet, QB Guru Ron Veal said that Lawrence was in a ‘realm of his own’ when it came to his talent.
Veal told the publication that he came away impressed with Lawrence during the Playstation Fiesta Bowl match-up against the Ohio State Buckeyes last December. He already knew of Lawrence’s arm strength, but was blown away with his pure athleticism.
It’s interesting reading Veal’s words about Lawrence- which can be seen fully here– and it just goes to show how talented the Clemson football QB truly is.
Lawrence isn’t just another quarterback. He is special.
He has great measurables, he has an elite arm and his athleticism is off the charts. No one quite understood just how athletic Lawrence was until that 67-yard scamper against Ohio State, but it can be seen when you watch the film.
Lawrence shows poise in the pocket and has great foot speed. He is able to use his arm strength to fit the ball into tight windows and all of those attributes are what have NFL scouts talking.
While many College Football analysts continue to make arguments for other players going No. 1 overall in next year’s draft, the truth is that it’s going to be next-to-impossible for a franchise to pass on the talent, skill and upside of Trevor Lawrence.
