The Clemson football coaching staff has reopened its recruitment at the defensive end position with another offer announced to a 4-star prospect.

The 2021 Clemson football recruiting class suffered a de-commitment from the nation’s top player- 5-star Korey Foreman– earlier this week.

Foreman wanted to take his official visits and, as a result, the Clemson football coaching staff elected to reopen their recruitment at the defensive end position.

The Tigers made an offer to 4-star Keanu Koht earlier this week and now 4-star DE Dallas Turner has announced that he received an offer from Clemson football.

Turner has offers from most of the major Power-5 programs across the country and it’s believed that Alabama, Georgia and Florida seem to be the favorites to win his services.

Turner, a Fort Lauderdale native, is currently considered the No. 6 WDE in the nation and the No. 124 overall player in the country. He is the No. 18 overall player in the state of Florida, according to the 247 Sports’ Composite Player Rankings.

Turner has taken several unofficial visits, including to places like Alabama, Georgia and Miami. Though Georgia and Bama seem like the favorites at this point, Turner is still in the earlier stages of his recruitment and there’s room for the Tigers to get involved.

The key for Clemson will be getting him on campus as soon as visits are allowed again.

Turner has the talent to develop into an elite defensive end and there’s a reason that many of these top programs get in early with offers.

If the Tigers want to make up some ground in his recruitment, they’ll need to get involved here in the coming months. It will be interesting to see how the Clemson coaching staff handles recruiting at the defensive end position as they look to add one more to the class.
