Could we see two Clemson football players taken by the same team in the first-round? That’s what this latest NFL Mock Draft projects.

Clemson football fans are getting ready to gear up for the 2020 NFL Draft with their eyes on seeing their favorite Tigers continue their careers at the next level.

Though the NFL Draft will be different this year- with the entire event taking place virtually- this will still be a special moment for several Clemson football players.

NFL.com Analyst Adam Rank released his latest NFL Mock Draft and had two Clemson football players- A.J. Terrell and Tee Higgins– getting drafted by the same team in the first-round: The Minnesota Vikings.

The first Tiger taken in the mock draft was, of course, was Isaiah Simmons. Rank has Simmons going No. 3 overall to the Detroit Lions. As all Clemson football fans know, Simmons is considered the most versatile defensive prospect in the draft and has been linked to several organizations, including the Lions, the New York Giants, Carolina Panthers and Jacksonville Jaguars- all of which will pick inside the top-9.

The next Tiger taken, according to Rank, is Tee Higgins at No. 22 to the Minnesota Vikings. Interestingly enough, he has the Vikings taking another Clemson football player at No. 25- just three picks later- as the organization elects to draft A.J. Terrell.

The Vikings just parted ways with Jayron Kearse and Mackensie Alexander, so it would only make sense that they replenish their stock of Tiger players with a few in this coming NFL Draft.

Both Terrell and Higgins are considered ‘fringe first-rounders’ at this point. Many NFL analysts have them squarely being taken in the late part of the first-round, but others believe they both have the potential to fall to the early portion of the second round.

All three of the Tigers- Simmons, Terrell and Higgins- have been invited to take part in the virtual portion of the 2020 NFL Draft.
