Clemson football LB/S Isaiah Simmons is the most versatile prospect in the 2020 NFL Draft class and it almost seems like a lock he’ll be a New York Giant.

Clemson football fans aren’t surprised to hear NFL analysts and scouts raving about the versatility and athleticism of Isaiah Simmons.

Anyone that has watched the Clemson football program over the past couple of seasons has seen the true ability of Simmons and just what he is capable of becoming.

Simmons is the most versatile defensive prospect in the 2020 NFL Draft class. He absolutely blew away NFL scouts with his film and then backed that up with an elite NFL Combine performance.

As we inch closer and closer to the NFL Draft, slated for later this month, the only question for Isaiah Simmons now is where he will end up. The Clemson football LB/S is basically a lock to be taken inside the top-10, but his team may also be becoming clearer.

Simmons is consistently being linked to the New York Giants in NFL Mock Drafts and it’s easy to see why.

The Giants are in dire need of addressing their defense. While some believe New York- which has the No. 4 overall pick in the draft- should address the offensive tackle position, the truth is that passing on Simmons would be a decision they would live to regret.

The Giants need help defensively and Simmons would instantly propel that defense upward. He is a guy who can rush the edge, stop the run and drop back in coverage. Simmons’ versatility would take the defense to another level and he’d become an instant star, at least in my opinion, for the Giants.

Things could change and you never truly know what an organization is thinking until the selection happens, but it’s seemingly becoming a lock- at least at this point- that Clemson football fans will have to buy a New York Giants jersey if they want to rep Isaiah Simmons gear in the NFL.
