1. A storybook ending

We had to hear for the better part of the 2018 season that no team could feasibly compete with the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Well, Clemson proved all of those analysts wrong with a swift 44-16 win over the Crimson Tide in the National Championship game- Wilkins’ final performance.

After years of putting his heart into the program, Wilkins was clearly emotional as he celebrated his second National Title and the fact that he got to close out his Clemson football career exactly as he wanted to: With a win on the grandest stage of them all.

Wilkins and teammate Clelin Ferrell stole the celebration show with their amazing speeches and he even got away with giving Dabo Swinney a wet willy.

Christian Wilkins’ career will go down as one of the most illustrious and memorable in Clemson football history. He paved the way for success in the program and walked away as one of the greatest of all time in Tiger history.
