3. The back-up QB battle will continue

The back-up QB battle didn’t get to play out, but that’s probably for the best.

D.J. Uiagalelei and Taisun Phommachanh will continue to battle for the second-string spot behind Trevor Lawrence during the summer and as we head into fall camp.

From the accounts we’ve heard, it seems that both guys had shining moments during spring camp but that no one had separated themselves.

Even if spring camp had progressed normally, the likelihood of a guy winning that second-string spot was low when there’s still an entire summer standing in the way of them and the beginning of the season.
