2. Administering a one-legged beating

The next moment on our list also has to do with the in-state rivalry, but it happened two years earlier.

Watson, who had been struggling with injuries during his freshman season, played against South Carolina in Death Valley.

The Gamecocks were on a five-game winning streak in the series and Tiger fans were desperate to see the series swing back in their favor.

In steps Deshaun Watson.

Watson threw for 269 yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for two touchdowns, and led the Tigers to a decisive 35-17 win over the Gamecocks.

Oh, and then we found out after the fact that he did all of that with a torn ACL. Watson beat the Gamecocks with one leg as a freshman and at that very point, he began his trek towards ‘legendary status.’
