2. Danny Ford had never resigned

It’s a complex situation when you talk about Danny Ford and how it all ended with Clemson.

Ford and the Clemson Administration had differences in power and, ultimately, he was forced to resign. But what if that never happened?

Had Ford never given up reins of the Clemson football program, there’s a chance the Tigers- who were still dealing with some scholarship issues- may have been able to come out of it and compete head-to-head with Florida State during those seasons in the 1990s.

Instead, Clemson became an afterthought in the ACC as the Seminoles went on to dominate the conference for more than a decade.
