Clemson Football: 5 Tigers who increased draft stock at NFL Combine 2020

4. John Simpson

John Simpson finished No. 3 in terms of the top OL performers in the bench press during the NFL Combine.

Simpson had 34 reps, which was just behind Indiana’s Simon Stepaniak (37) and Netane Muti (44).

In addition to his powerful showing, Simpson also had the largest hands (11 ¼) of the offensive linemen.

When looking at Simpson, there’s no reason to believe that he won’t be one of the top interior offensive linemen taken in the draft. Look for him to be a mid-round prospect who could potentially see a rise due to his measurables and high football IQ.
