Former Clemson football LB/S Isaiah Simmons is testing off the charts and proving his worth at the NFL Combine through his freakish athleticism.
Clemson LB Isaiah Simmons hasn’t even ran his 40-yard dash yet and is already testing off the charts.
Of course, that comes as no surprise to any Clemson football fan who has already seen the talented defensive player develop over the last couple of seasons.
Simmons has been one of the most impressive prospects of the combine to this point because of his measurables and high football IQ. When you add in the anticipation for what he will do in workouts, you see that the Clemson LB product is going to be taken extremely high in the 2020 NFL Draft.
As analysts continue breaking down the combine, more and more people are starting to realize just how good Isaiah Simmons is and what he has the capability of developing into.
One of the things many analysts can’t quit talking about with Simmons is the fact that he has great measurables, but is probably the fastest linebacker in the draft class. We all remember the video that surfaced of Simmons running toe-to-toe with Clemson RB Travis Etienne, who is likely to be a first-round pick in next year’s draft.
The truth to this whole matter is the fact that Isaiah Simmons simply is not human.
The amount of versatility he has is off-the-charts. The fact that he has the speed to keep up with elite-level running backs, but also the physicality to be a run-stuffer is absolutely unheard of.
Clemson football fans have known about Isaiah Simmons’ elite versatility for a while now, but the rest of the world seems to be just catching on.
The fact that some NFL analysts had Simmons falling outside of the top-10 in some of their mock drafts shows a complete lack of knowledge on talent.
Simmons is easily going to be a top-10, maybe even top-5, pick and it shouldn’t even be close.
