As we head into the beginning of spring practice, here are five returning Clemson football players who are poised for breakout years.

The 2020 Clemson football team will be looking for revenge after getting beaten by LSU in the National Championship back in January.

The Tigers are currently the odds-on favorites to get back to the CFB Playoff and compete for another National Championship and much of that has to do with the massive amount of talent returning to the program.

As we get ready for spring practice, here are five Clemson football players who are poised for breakout seasons that will begin with practice this month.

5. Lannden Zanders

There’s going to be major competition at the safety position over the course of the spring.

Clemson will be looking to replace its two starters- Tanner Muse and K’von Wallace– from last season and that all will begin with spring competition.

While Nolan Turner seems like a guarantee to grab one of the spots, the other player I’d keep my eye on at safety is Lannden Zanders.

Zanders earned some playing time last year as a freshman and he has a major opportunity to step into a starting role this year and there’s plenty of reasons to believe he’ll do just that.
