What will the depth chart look like for Clemson football as we head into March? Here’s our projection for the spring depth chart.

The Clemson football team will begin spring practice on Wednesday looking to improve and prepare for the upcoming 2020 season.

There are plenty position battles and storylines to watch as we head into spring practice, but it’s clear the Tigers will be focusing on getting better in every phase of the game as they attempt to get back to the CFB Playoff for a sixth-straight season.

Here’s a look at our projected depth chart heading into the spring.

Quarterback

Starter: Trevor Lawrence

The quarterback depth chart is pretty set at this point. Lawrence will be returning as the starter for his third (and presumably final) season with Clemson football.

The intriguing aspect of this position, though, is the fact that former backup QB Chase Brice is no longer on the roster. Brice announced that he’d be transferring to Duke for his final two years of eligibility, opening up a major competition between RS freshman Taisun Phommachanh and true-freshman DJ Uiagalelei for the spot behind Lawrence.

At this point, I believe you’ll see the coaches list the two as co-backups, but Uiagalelei will begin to pull away when we get into the fall.
