The Clemson football team will begin spring practice this week. Here are five position battles for Tiger fans to look out for during the sessions.

The Clemson football team will begin spring practice on Wednesday with an eye on working to get back to the CFB Playoff for a sixth-straight year.

The Tigers were beaten by LSU in the National Championship game last season, but that hasn’t changed the fact that they are considered the odds-favorites to be back in the thick of things this time around.

As we prepare for the beginning of spring practice, here’s a look at five position battles for Clemson football fans to pay attention to during the sessions.

5. Offensive Line

The offensive line will have to replace four starters from last year’s group.

With Gage Cervenka, John Simpson, Tremayne Anchrum and Sean Pollard all gone, it will be time for some of these young guys to step up and fill the depth chart.

Jackson Carman will return at left tackle and it’s expected that Matt Bockhorst (LG), Cade Stewart (C), Will Putnam (RG) and Jordan McFadden (RT) get the first opportunity at filling the starting positions, but what about the depth behind them?

Clemson prides itself on having at least an 8-man rotation for that line and there is going to be a massive amount of competition at the position- both starters and second-string- throughout spring practice.
