Though the 2021 NFL Draft is still more than a year away, there are several franchises who are keeping tabs of Clemson football QB Trevor Lawrence.

Trevor Lawrence is entering his junior season and that likely means this will be the last year we see him in a Clemson football uniform.

In Lawrence’s first two seasons, the QB has led the Tigers to back-to-back National Title appearances, winning one, and winning two ACC Championships.

Lawrence has 65.5 percent of his career passes for a grand total of 6,945 yards and 66 touchdowns to 12 interceptions. Because of his arm strength, skill, measurables and clear talent, Lawrence is considered the top prospect in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Here are five NFL teams who may already be tanking for a shot at the Clemson football QB before the 2020 NFL Draft even begins.

5. Los Angeles Chargers

The Los Angeles Chargers announced that they’d be parting ways with veteran QB Philip Rivers this season and are expected to let free agents Melvin Gordon and Hunter Henry walk in an effort to increase cap space.

The Chargers are in the Tom Brady sweepstakes and could potentially choose to lure the veteran to LA for his final few seasons, but that still doesn’t mean anything.

If Brady goes elsewhere, the Chargers are do have the No. 6 overall pick in this 2020 NFL Draft and could elect to take a guy like Jordan Love or Tua Tagovailoa, but the organization would be much better off waiting a year and taking Lawrence should they choose to tank.
