2. Can defensive backfield reload?

The Clemson football defensive backfield was the strength of the defense last season, but now there are some holes to be filled.

The Tigers lost starters at safety in Tanner Muse and K’Von Wallace, as well as starting cornerback A.J. Terrell.

While there’s plenty of talent behind those guys, there’s not much experience outside of S Nolan Turner.

Clemson will be tasked with developing a pecking order and finding the right fits to fill the roles left behind by those former Tigers. There’s potential that the secondary could be better than last season when you look at the talent on paper, but as we all know games aren’t won on paper.
