The 2020 Clemson football team is a favorite to get back to the CFB Playoff for a reason, but that still doesn’t mean there aren’t any questions.

The 2020 Clemson football team is considered one of the odds-on favorites to get back to the CFB Playoff and compete for the National Championship.

The Tigers return a plethora of talent on both sides of the ball- especially offensively, though- and are looking to avenge a loss in the National Championship game last season.

As we prepare for the beginning of spring practice, here’s a look at five question marks for Clemson football here into the offseason.

5. Can wide receivers develop depth?

The talent at wide receiver is unquestioned.

The Tigers have stars all over the field with guys like Justyn Ross, Amari Rodgers, Cornell Powell, Frank Ladson Jr. and Joseph Ngata returning. Add in a talented 4-star WR in EJ Williams and a 3-star promising project in Ajou Ajou and you see that the wide receiver room has plenty of potential moving forward.

However, will the wide receivers build that kind of depth over the offseason?

Can Justyn Ross become that dominant force at the boundary? Can Rodgers, Powell and Ladson Jr. find ways to attack the middle of the field– something that wasn’t really done in 2019.

All of this begins in the offseason with this wide receiver group.
