The 2021 NFL Draft is more than a year away, but we’re going to see many Clemson football players highlighted when the event arrives.
The 2020 Clemson football team is considered one of the best in the country because of all the talent that is returning to program.
At this point next year, though, many of those juniors and seniors will be moving on to the next level, to the joy of many NFL scouts.
Now, one thing should be pointed out: The Clemson football program isn’t going anywhere. Even though the Tigers will have a plethora of players moving onto the NFL Draft after this season, there will still be plenty of talent behind them ready to reload for the future.
That being said, there’s no doubt that Clemson football will dominate the 2021 NFL Draft.
While it’s way too early to be looking at a draft class that is a year out, there are few players with high potential.
(A *star* denotes the player still has eligibility remaining after 2020, but could declare early.)
- QB Trevor Lawrence*
- RB Travis Etienne
- DE Xavier Thomas*
- WR Justyn Ross*
- WR Amari Rodgers
- OT Jackson Carman*
- TE Braden Galloway*
- CB Derion Kendrick*
- DT Nyles Pinckney
All of the guys listed above have the potential to be taken in Round 3 or higher of next year’s draft.
Looking at the list, there’s a solid chance that Trevor Lawrence goes No. 1 overall and then Etienne, Thomas, Ross, Carman and Rodgers aren’t far behind him. Honestly, all five of those guys have first-round ability.
The potential that Clemson could see up to five players selected in the first-round is absolutely uncanny.
The Tigers have talent developing all over the field and it’s clear that this program is operating on a different level currently.
Ultimately, Clemson football fans need to enjoy these players this season because it won’t be long before they’re making an impact at the next level.
