2. Myles Murphy, 5-star DE

Myles Murphy has a major opportunity to earn playing time as a freshman with the departure of veteran Logan Rudolph.

Murphy would’ve likely earned playing time with Rudolph returning, but that will only be amplified now.

The Tigers return Xavier Thomas, K.J. Henry, Justin Foster and Justin Mascoll, who will all compete for starter spots and fill in the two-deep, but the true-freshman won’t be far behind.

Clemson had a five-man rotation at defensive end last season and that will be the case this year, as well, with Murphy earning snaps as the fifth man.
