1. Nolan Turner

Nolan Turner caps off our list as a guy who has blown recruiting experts away.

Turner never received a star rating and didn’t even register in terms of player rankings. He didn’t receive a scholarship offer and elected to walk-on at Clemson.

Fast forward three years later: Turner caught the game-winning interception in the Fiesta Bowl to give Clemson a win over Ohio State and allowed the Tigers to advance to the National Championship game for a fourth time in the past five years.

There is still plenty of room for improvement when looking at Turner’s game, but there’s no doubting that he has outperformed what any expectations may have been for him when he first enrolled at Clemson.

Turner is likely to be the starter at safety this coming season and will have an opportunity to earn All-ACC honors.
