6. Germone Hopper, WR (2012)

Germone Hopper was expected to be one of the best wide receivers to ever put on a Clemson uniform when he stepped on campus in 2012.

Hopper was joining a crowded receiver room that included Sammy Watkins, Martavis Bryant, DeAndre Hopkins, Charone Peake and Adam Humphries, among others, but there were plenty of Tiger fans who believed he would find his way on the field anyway.

That never really happened during the 2012 season, or beyond.

Hopper, a highly-touted 4-star recruit, played three seasons with Clemson, catching 71 passes for 797 yards and six touchdowns mostly in reserve action.

He had elite-level speed and talent, but never quite took that step to the next level.
