Clemson Football: 5 areas to improve in 2020 winter workouts
3. Defensive Backfield needs work
The defensive backfield will be missing plenty of leadership off of last year’s team.
Tanner Muse is gone. K’Von Wallace is gone. A.J. Terrell and Isaiah Simmons are gone. With those guys moving on to the next level, it’s going to be important that the defensive backfield develops leadership through the winter.
Guys like Nolan Turner and Derion Kendrick have to step up to push the younger guys to get better.
Winter workouts are about accountability and it all starts with that leadership at the top, especially at a young but talented position like the secondary.
