The Clemson football program is squarely in the midst of winter workouts. Here are five areas to improve heading into the spring.

The Clemson football team is working hard through the winter to get ready for spring practice, which will begin in March.

Though coaches have limited contact with the players through this time, there is still plenty for Clemson football to work on before stepping onto the practice field.

Here are five areas for the Clemson football team to improve during the winter.

5. Specialists

Though specialists aren’t necessarily outside working on their craft officially every day, they are still getting plenty of reps in with each other.

It’s time for B.T. Potter to take that next step towards becoming a consistent, elite place-kicker.

He has the talent and ability, but it’s about having the right mindset. Potter will work on strengthening his leg during workouts, but I expect him to get plenty of reps kicking field goals in the offseason on his own, as well.

In addition to Potter, Tiger fans also want to see consistency at the punter position- which Will Spiers showed in the postseason- but it’d be great to see that built upon this offseason.
