4-star Clemson football WR commit Beaux Collins is a true play-maker who will make an immediate impact when he steps on the field.

Clemson football fans will have to wait for a little while before they get to see WR commit Beaux Collins suit up for the Tigers, but one thing’s for sure: When he does, Tiger nation will take notice.

Collins was the second 4-star WR to commit to the Tigers in the 2021 class and immediately became a player that Clemson football fans should get to know.

Collins is the former teammate of current Clemson QB DJ Uiagalelei (he is still at St. John Boscoe where Uiagalelei graduated from) and was a high-priority for the Tiger coaching staff coming into the 2021 cycle.

For anyone that has kept up with recruiting on an in-depth level, you’ll notice that Collins was first discussed in links with Clemson last summer when he attended Dabo Swinney’s football camp. From all accounts, he was the top performing wide receiver during the camp and really impressed the coaches with his elite-level speed.

Collins is listed at 6-foot-3 and 195 pounds, making him a prime option for that ‘field position’ in the future. He’s already going to be a favored option for Uiagalelei, who likely will be starting for his season next year, and has all the tools to come in and make an immediate impact.

He’s a different mold at wide receiver compared to some of the guys Clemson has recruited in the past. The Tigers have typically looked at a lot of 6-foot-4, 210 pound receivers, but Collins is going to give them a different option.

He’s the type of receiver who makes his impact known through his play-making. He has the ability to go up and come down with a 50/50 ball when called upon, but he’s also the type of guy that has the ability to turn a simple WR screen play into a 60-yard TD pass. He can run a simple route and end up leaving defenders in the dust.

dark. Next. Big recruiting weekend now the norm

Collins is going to ascend up boards and eventually be listed as a 5-star later this year and it will all be because of that speed, athleticism and impressive catch ability.
