What are injuries looking like heading into the National Championship? Here’s our Clemson football injury report vs. LSU.

The Clemson football team will suit-up one last time tonight as the Tigers prepare to take on LSU in the National Championship game.

A little more than two weeks ago, Clemson came away with a hard-fought victory over Ohio State in the Playstation Fiesta Bowl.

Now, the Tigers will look to improve their overall winning streak to 30 games and repeat as National Champions.

Here’s a look at the injury report heading into the National Title.

Injury Report vs. LSU

  • DT Nyles Pinckney, Ankle (Questionable)

Starting DT Nyles Pinckney will be limited Monday night and may not play for the Tigers. He has been struggling with an ankle injury and was reportedly held out of practice Saturday afternoon when Clemson practiced in the hotel ballroom.

In addition to Pinckney’s injury, Dabo Swinney told the media following the Ohio State game that “even the coaches were sore” from the all-out war that was played in Glendale. The Clemson football players have had a little more than two weeks to heal up from any soreness or nagging injuries and hopefully that will be enough heading into this one.

Two players that we’ll be closely watching throughout the game tonight are wide receivers Justyn Ross and Tee Higgins.

Higgins missed the majority of the first half against Ohio State after suffering an injury on the first drive of the game, but later returned. Ross continued to play through his soreness, but you could tell that neither were at 100 percent as the game against the Buckeyes played out.

Hopefully, Clemson will have both of those guys back at full-strength as the Tigers prepare for a battle with yet another extremely talented team tonight in New Orleans.
