4. Brent Venables is coaching

Other than Auburn and maybe Mississippi State to a point, no defense has come close to slowing down LSU’s offense this season.

We heard the same thing last season, though, when Clemson was set up to play Alabama.

Brent Venables is one of the greatest defensive minds in the country and is easily the best assistant coach in the nation. He has watched tons of LSU film and has broken down any and every weakness- even if it’s only a slight weakness- that he could find.

Clemson has the most talented defense that LSU will have faced this season and the Tigers also have the best Defensive Coordinator in the nation. Will that mean LSU will be shut down? No. But I do think that means Clemson will come away with its fair share of stops.
