Clemson Football: Who are the 2020 early enrollees?

The 2020 Clemson football recruiting class is currently ranked No. 1 in the nation. Here’s a look at the prospects who’ll be enrolling early.

The 2020 Clemson football recruiting class is currently ranked No. 1 in the nation, according to the 247 Sports’ Composite Team Rankings, and the Tigers will see several signees enroll early.

We are seeing more and more High School seniors enroll in January as a way to get ahead on their classes and give themselves the best chance possible for playing time early in their collegiate careers.

Here’s a look at the 2020 Clemson football early enrollees (rankings according to the 247 Sports’ Composite Prospect Rankings).

2020 Early Enrollees:

  • Bryan Bresee, 5-star DL
  • Myles Murphy, 5-star DE
  • DJ Uiagalelei, 5-star QB
  • Demarkcus Bowman, 5-star RB
  • Demonte Capehart, 5-star DT
  • Fred Davis II, 5-star DB
  • Trenton Simpson, 4-star LB
  • EJ Williams, 4-star WR
  • RJ Mickens, 4-star DB
  • Paul Tchio, 4-star OL
  • Mitchell Mayes, 4-star OL
  • Sergio Allen, 4-star LB
  • Kevin Swint, 4-star LB
  • Bryn Tucker, 4-star OL
  • Sage Ennis, 3-star TE
  • Tyler Venables, 3-star DB

The Clemson football program will see 16 signees enroll early. Several of these early enrollees will participate in national All-Star games this week before officially arriving on campus.

These freshmen will be able to participate in practice heading into the National Championship game and many of them will be on the scout team as the Tigers prepare for LSU.

The class of 23 signees will see every single 5-star (six) and 8-of-the-11 4-stars enroll early, which is extremely impressive.

When you look at the freshmen at winter workouts and heading into the spring, I would pay especially close attention to 5-star DL Bryan Bresee, 5-star RB Demarkcus Bowman, 4-star OL Bryn Tucker and 4-star LB Trenton Simpson as players with the potential to make a major impact early for the Tigers.
