The Clemson football team will take on the Ohio State Buckeyes in the Playstation Fiesta Bowl for an opportunity to advance to the National Championship game.

The Tigers are currently listed as 2-point favorites, courtesy of the Action Network, but many analysts believe this game is a toss-up.

Will Clemson be able to come away with the victory or will the Buckeyes walk out of Glendale, Arizona victorious?

Here’s a look at our staff predictions for the Playstation Fiesta Bowl.

Shawn Spencer:

Score: Clemson 38, Ohio State 31

Reason: The Tigers and Buckeyes are about as evenly-matched as they come. The two teams have extremely talented defenses and stellar offenses. Both programs are going to put a bunch of players in the NFL, but in the end, I believe the experience of the Tigers comes through and Clemson comes away with the big play when needed to put the Buckeyes away.

Cole Little

Score: Clemson 42, Ohio State 38

Reason: In what could be the best game of the season, Clemson will eke out a hard-fought win against Ohio State in the Fiesta Bowl. Expect Justin Fields and Trevor Lawrence to produce a quarterback duel for the ages in a nail-biter that should come down to the wire.

Tyreese Ingram

Score: Clemson 34, Ohio State 17

Reason: Clemson will be able to contain J.K. Dobbins, and the Ohio State receivers won’t gain enough separation from Tigers defenders to break any big plays. On offense, Trevor Lawrence will get enough protection to find Higgins and Ross for multiple touchdowns.

Nick Young

Score: Clemson 35, Ohio State 14

Reason: With Trevor Lawrence building off an impressive freshman season with another trip to the CFB Playoff, he will have a stellar performance and beat the Justin Fields-led Ohio State Buckeyes. Expect Fields to not be able to play effectively against Clemson’s stout defense.
