Clemson football fans will enjoy a CFB Playoff match-up between LSU and Oklahoma in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Saturday afternoon prior to the main event.
The Clemson football team will take on the Ohio State Buckeyes Saturday evening in the CFB Playoff semifinals.
Before the Tigers and Buckeyes match-up in the Playstation Fiesta Bowl, though, Clemson football fans will be able to enjoy a semifinal tilt between the LSU Tigers and the Oklahoma Sooners.
Today, we’re going to take step slightly away from Clemson-Ohio State and give you our staff scoring predictions for the match-up between the Tigers and Sooners Saturday afternoon in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl.
Shawn Spencer
Score: LSU 45, Oklahoma 38
Reason: Both LSU and Oklahoma will put up some points considering the bad defenses, but the Tigers have more depth and aptitude to come away with a late-game stop to advance to the National Championship.
Cole Little
Score: LSU 45, Oklahoma 31
Reason: Oklahoma’s shaky secondary will not be able to contain Joe Burrow and the LSU pass attack in the Peach Bowl. Expect Jalen Hurts to put up impressive numbers for the Sooners, but expect the “Bayou Bengals” to come out on top in the shootout.
Tyreese Ingram
Score: LSU 48, Oklahoma 30
Reason: LSU’s offense will be too much for the overmatched Sooners defense. Jalen Hurts plays well but not enough to keep up with the Tigers.
Nick Young
Score: LSU 42, Oklahoma 35
Reason: With both teams showing stellar QB play this season it would not be a surprise to see this be a high-scoring game that comes down to the wire.
