6. Trenton Simpson, 4-star LB

Trenton Simpson was a late addition to the 2020 Clemson football recruiting class, but he was certainly a big-time pickup.

The Tigers will be losing two of their starters at linebacker following this season and will be looking to build depth at the position.

There haven’t been many players step up and truly provide that confident two-deep feel this season, so that will leave the door open for a plethora of redshirt freshmen and incoming freshmen. With the only returner being Jamie Skalski– who plays MIKE- the outside linebacker spot will be open for competition.

Look for Simpson to work himself into the two-or-three deep and potentially be a quality back-up during his first season with the Tigers.
