What should Clemson football fans be watching for on Early National Signing Day 2019? We’ll be providing live updates throughout the day.

The 2020 Clemson football recruiting class is considered one of the top classes in the country no matter which recruiting services you go by.

Heading into the Early National Signing Period for the 2020 cycle, the Tigers currently possess the No. 1 class in the nation, according to the 247 Sports’ Composite Team Rankings.

Clemson football has garnered commitments from several big names, including seven 5-stars: Bryan Bresee, DJ Uiagalelei, Fred Davis, Myles Murphy, Demonte Capehart, Demarkcus Bowman and Trenton Simpson.

Because of the early signing period, these commitments will be able to go ahead and sign their National Letters of Intent and officially accept their scholarship offer. Many of the Clemson football commitments will be on campus in January as early enrollees, as well.

As we head into Early National Signing Day, Rubbing the Rock will have you covered from start-to-finish.

A few of the top targets for Clemson football fans to watch are 5-star DE Jordan Burch and 4-star DB Malcolm Greene, as well as 4-star DB Kendall Dennis and 5-star LB Justin Flowe, who are both trending away from the Tigers.

One of the biggest remaining targets for the Tiger coaching staff in 2020 is 4-star WR Xzavier Henderson. Henderson took an official visit to Clemson and reportedly had a great time this past weekend, but he won’t make his decision until January 4th and then he’ll sign during the National Signing Period in February.

Whether Clemson comes away with another commitment or not, the Tigers already have signed one of the most impressive classes in program history and it will be a monumental moment with the National Letters of Intent are signed and these talented players are officially Clemson football players.

  • 4-star OL Walker Parks has signed his NLI.
  • K Tanner Tessmann has signed his NLI.

Other Notable Updates:

  • Clemson has officially flipped 4-star DB Malcolm Greene, an LSU commit. Greene has signed his NLI with Clemson. This was something everyone suspected for a while, but it was good to go ahead and see it happen.
  • The one remaining target for this class- 5-star Jordan Burch- will announce his decision during the 2 p.m. hour on ESPNU. At this point, all signs indicate Burch signing with LSU, South Carolina or Georgia. Right now it looks like the Tigers and Bulldogs have a step ahead. I wouldn’t expect Clemson to come away with his signing.
  • Interestingly enough, K Tanner Tessmann has never played College Football. Tessmann is a skilled soccer player who will have an opportunity to come in and compete with BT Potter. I really like Dabo Swinney’s thinking here to go outside the box and try something different at the kicker position with Tessmann.
