The Clemson football team will play its 13th game of the season when the Tigers take on the Virginia Cavaliers in the ACC Championship.
The Clemson football team will take on the No. 23-ranked Virginia Cavaliers Saturday night in Bank of America Stadium for the ACC Championship.
The Tigers are currently listed as 29-point favorites, courtesy of the Action Network, and are looking to improve to 13-0 on the season and improve their overall program winning streak to 28 games.
Here’s a look at our staff predictions for the ACC Championship, which is set to kickoff tonight at 7:30 p.m. on ABC.
Shawn Spencer
Score: Clemson 49, Virginia 10
Reason: The Tigers come out and take care of business Saturday night. Bryce Perkins will reel off a big run or two to get the Cavaliers in the board, but it will be far too little for it to matter.
Tyreese Ingram
Score: Clemson 34, Virginia 10
Reason: UVA’s defense is allowing 336.5 total yards per game. The game will have to be a shootout or the Cavaliers will have to find a defense after 12 games. The Tigers should be able to score enough points to win comfortably.
Nick Young
Score: Clemson 42, Virginia 10
Reason: After finishing the season undefeated and moving onto the ACC Championship once again, the Tigers will go on a blow out the Cavaliers.
Barry Shuck
Score: Clemson 41, Virginia 10
Reason: Virginia just doesn’t have the defense to match up with the Tigers. This will be close for the first quarter only.
Cole Little
Score: Clemson 42, Virginia 14
Reason: Eager to put a bow on a perfect regular season and prove all of the doubters wrong, the Tigers will make the Virginia Cavaliers’ first ACC Championship game appearance a forgettable one on Saturday. The Tigers should be expected to cash in at Bank of America Stadium and effectively punch their tickets to the College Football Playoff for a fifth year in a row.
