3. 2003: 63-17 (Margin of victory: 46)

The 63 points put up by Clemson football in 2003 still stands as the highest point total for either team in the series.

The Tigers’ 2003 season was a rollercoaster, to say the least. Clemson lost a game to a bad Wake Forest team before turning around and beating the No. 3-ranked Florida State Seminoles and then blowing out Duke in back-to-back weeks.

Though Clemson entered the game against South Carolina as an underdog, it didn’t take long to realize the Gamecocks were in trouble. Charlie Whitehurst threw four touchdown passes and the Tigers absolutely embarrassed South Carolina on its home field.
