The Clemson football team dominated Wake Forest Saturday, improving to 11-0 on the season. Here’s a look at our Report Cards following the win.

The Clemson football team improved to 11-0 overall on the season following a dominating win over the Wake Forest Demon Deacons Saturday afternoon.

The Tigers downed the Deacons 52-3 on their way to their 26th win-in-a-row.

Clemson football will have an open date this weekend before traveling down to Williams-Brice Stadium for a matchup with in-state rival South Carolina to close the regular season.

Before we turn our attention to the Gamecocks and the postseason, here’s a look at our offensive and defensive report cards for Clemson football in the win over Wake Forest.

Offensive Report Card:

The offense was explosive Saturday, led by Trevor Lawrence and Tee Higgins. Lawrence connected for three touchdowns with Higgins in the first half and finished the day with 272 yards passing and four touchdowns.

Travis Etienne carried the ball 16 times for 121 yards and one touchdown. The Tigers suffered a couple of minor injuries to Justyn Ross and Amari Rodgers, but nothing that’s expected to make them miss playing time.

The only complaint for the offense, really, was the offensive line early in the game. The unit struggled and allowed Wake Forest defenders to get in the backfield and make things difficult for Trevor Lawrence. The group made adjustments as the half progressed and did a much better job over the remainder of the game.

Grade: A-

Defensive Report Card:

The defense allowed one field goal when they were dealt a short field following a fumble by punter Will Spiers.

Other than those points, Wake Forest had absolutely no success Saturday afternoon.

The Demon Deacons had just 105 yards of total offense– though they were averaging more than 500 yards per game coming into the matchup- and only moved the chains five times.

The defense got in the backfield, completely disrupted the run game and made things difficult all afternoon on Wake Forest.

Grade: A+
