The 2020 Clemson football recruiting class is already considered to be one of the best in the nation, but it could get better with these remaining prospects.

The Clemson football coaching staff received several early commitments for the 2020 cycle and the Tigers have turned their attention towards 2021 in many respects.

However, there still are a handful of remaining targets in the 2020 cycle that the Clemson football coaching staff is keeping a close eye on as we head into the thick of November and inch closer to December when that early National Signing Day will take place.

At this point, the 2020 Clemson football recruiting class is ranked No. 1 in the nation, according to the 247 Sports’ Composite rankings. The Tigers have 20 commitments- including six 5-stars- headlined by 5-star DL Bryan Bresee (No. 1 player in the country), 5-star DE Myles Murphy (No. 4), 5-star QB DJ Uiagalelei (No. 13), 5-star RB Demarkcus Bowman (No. 18), 5-star DB Fred Davis II (No. 26) and 5-star DT Demonte Capehart (No. 27).

In addition to the already star-studded class, Clemson is in position for two more big-time prospects. The Tigers are currently considered the favorite for 5-star LB Justin Flowe (No. 5 player in the country, No. 1 LB), and are certainly in the mix for 5-star DE Jordan Burch (No. 2 player in the country, No. 1 DE).

At this point, the only other major uncommitted prospect that Clemson is in the mix for is 4-star WR Xzavier Henderson. The Tigers already have two committed wide receivers (4-star EJ Williams and 3-star Ajou Ajou), but they’d likely still take Henderson if he elected to commit.

That being said, Henderson isn’t necessarily expected to make a decision any time soon. Flowe and Burch, however, could be a different story. From most accounts, the two top prospects are expected to sign during the early signing period in December. That hasn’t been confirmed yet, but that is our guess moving forward.

Both Flowe and Burch will likely finish up their official visit tours over the next few weeks and will then focus on making a decision. Flowe is on campus this weekend taking his official visit, but Burch has not announced any more official visits, though he has three remaining.

Clemson will be competing with Oregon, Miami and Georgia for the services of Flowe. They’ll be competing with in-state rival South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama and LSU for the services of Burch.

At this point, Clemson is listed as the favorite to win both- holding 62 percent of the crystal ball predictions for Burch and 80 percent of the crystal ball predictions for Flowe.

Over the next couple of weeks, we could begin to hear some major noise about both prospects. Their respective recruitments are beginning to wind down and it will be interesting to see if Clemson can add to an already talented class with these two monster prospects.
