5-star Clemson football target Justin Flowe will be on campus for his official visit this weekend, along with a plethora of talented prospects.
Perhaps the biggest recruiting weekend of the fall for Clemson football will occur this weekend.
The top remaining target in the 2020 class for the Tigers in 5-star LB Justin Flowe will be on campus for his official visit. Flowe, the No. 1-rated LB in the nation, took an official visit to Miami last weekend and is expected to follow-up this weekend’s visit with trips to Georgia (vs. Texas A&M) and Oregon (vs. Oregon State).
Flowe announced those four schools as his top finalists back in August.
Flowe will be in good company in terms of talent. 5-star Clemson football commitments DL Bryan Bresee, DT Demonte Capehart and DE Myles Murphy will be on campus, as well as 4-star LBs Sergio Allen, Kevin Swint and 3-star S Tyler Venables. On the offensive side of the ball, 4-star OL Mitchell Mayes, 4-star OL Paul Tchio and 4-star WR EJ Williams will be taking their official visits. Many of these commitments are planning to enroll in January.
Having all of that star-power- especially Bryan Bresee– on campus with Flowe is a big asset for Clemson football. The Tigers are currently considered the leader for his services, but he’s also heavily considering the other three schools. Flowe is expected to announce his commitment in December.
There has been speculation that 5-star DE Jordan Burch could be taking his official visit to Clemson this weekend. Burch, the nation’s No. 2 player, took official visits to Alabama (Nov. 8) and LSU (Oct. 26) earlier this season. He still has three visits remaining and to use on three other schools- presumably Clemson, Georgia and South Carolina.
Burch has kept his recruitment extremely close to the vest and it’s tough to truly know where the Tigers stand with the talented defensive end. Though Clemson garners 62 percent of the crystal ball predictions on 247 sports, it wouldn’t be surprising at all to see Burch commit to any of the other four schools on his short-list.
